Development of ICF Core Sets for Visual Impairment (Low Vision)

Currently we are working on the preliminary studies for the development of the ICF Core Sets for Visual Impairment. Cornelia Lackerbauer (doctoral thesis) is engaged with the literature review now starting the paper data extraction after concluding the abstract checking. We estimate to finish this part within the first half of 2008. Danny Loyola and Juliane Leissner (doctoral theses) are doing the patient interviews to realize the empiric studies. Totally about 70 interviews are being done to date, so we hope to finish with 100 patients early in 2008. Major parts of the other studies will be started next year as well, i.e. the focus groups and the expert survey. Maybe those doctoral theses will be advertised in this context as well. All preliminary studies are planned to be finalized in 2008, afterwards, preparations for the consensus conference can be started in 2008/2009.
