Michaela Kirschneck, was born 1972 in Munich, Germany and
is currently working as a research assistant at the ICF Research
Branch of WHO FIC Collaborating Center (DIMDI), IHRS, located
at the University of Munich, Germany. She qualified as a physiotherapist
in 1995 from the school of physiotherapy in Wasserburg, Germany.
From 1995 to 2001, Michaela gained professional experience
with head injury patients, and with patients suffering from
musculo-skeletal and general medical conditions. She has worked
part-time as a research assistant in the ICF Core Set Project
from its initiation. Within the project she is responsible
for the internal and external ICF training seminars, especially
those for the representatives of the Project cooperation partners
and coordinates the German Study centers. She continues to
work clinically in the Department of Physical Medicine and
Rehabilitation at the University Hospital Munich in the out-patients
department and thus maintains a link to clinical practice.
