Beatrix Algurén, MPH


CURRICULUM VITAE

Beatrix Algurén is research scientist at the ICF Research Branch of WHO FIC Collaborating Center (DIMDI), IHRS at the University of Munich, Germany. She was born in 1977 in Erlangen, Germany. In 2001, Beatrix received a Master of Sport Sciences specified on prevention and rehabilitation at the University of Munich. During several years she gained professional experience as a sport therapist in different rehabilitation settings, mainly working with persons with musculo-skeletal conditions. Beatrix continued her higher education and obtained a Master of Public Health and Epidemiology at the University of Munich in 2005. Her major interest is the practical application of ICF. In the course of her PhD studies at the School of Health Sciences at the Jönköping University, Sweden, she started a project on a longitudinal application of the extended Version of ICF Core Set for Stroke in Sweden.
